Worker Satisfaction

Feeling like your job sucks? Hate being forced to come in everyday? Ever stop to think why? What is it that really makes you miserable?
Stop and think about why you job seems so lousy. Then consider whether you can change it. Unless you’re the one that is incompetent or unqualified, you can always change your work situation. Within your own company, you can look to find a new position. You can look for a new job outside the company. Let’s not forget that you also can try to identify ways to improve your current position without having to interview for new jobs, etc.
If the problem is you and you just don’t like to work, sorry, but I can’t help you except to say get off your duff and be like the rest of us working stiffs. If it’s your boss, then think about what need to be done to improve that situation. A bad boss can be dealt with in many ways. You can start by helping other people to see through that person and realize that they are a bad boss. Maybe talking to your boss’s boss is a good way to start. Be careful, though because that can be thin ice if they decide to go back to your boss with your complaint. The same is true about talking to HR.
When the problem is related to the work you are doing and your responsibilities, then talk to your boss. See what can be done to give you more responsibilities or to find you tasks that better match your skills and interest.
All is not lost, find a way to turn you bad work situation around. You have to spend 40 or more hours each week at that job, so make it at least something that you don’t resent having to do each morning!
